The Sprints seemed to work very nicely while kayaking. As anyone who has kayaked before knows, your feet are really just there to stabilize you and help keep your balance, so having something light-weight on my feet, and something that helped me grip with my toes worked out very nicely. The instructor that helped me put the kayak into the water said that he only wears VFFs when he kayaks. So don't take it from me, the first timer, take it from the instructor that's been doing it for years. VFFs are GREAT for kayaking. He is only in 3rd grade, so the smaller women's size fit him great. I love that this kid chose the hot pink with orange over the black. He definitely marches to the beat of his own drummer! Another 9-yr-old friend of his was so swayed by his enthusiasm that he got a pair too! (light blue women's size). On a recent trip down there for another visit, I took a picture of all 3 of us in our VFFs. Awesome.
